At Avenue Fine Jewellers, we have our qualified manufacturing jeweller Andrew, who has over 40 years experience, onsite in our in-store workshop. We offer a wide range of jewellery repairs big or small to get your jewellery ready to wear again! Our range of services include but are not limited to:
- Solder and repair broken chains
- Repair or replace clasps
- Ring repairs such as re-tipping claws, replacing lost stones, and straightening out rings
- Ring resizing
- Removing links from necklaces, bracelets and chains
- Cleaning and polishing jewellery
All repairs are handled in-store, not sent away, to ensure it is done with the finest craftsmanship and are priced with value in mind. We offer obligation-free quotes before proceeding with your repairs.
care & cleaning
We offer professional cleaning in store for all your jewellery including polishing your silver and gold jewellery and Rhodium plating for White Gold jewellery to make your jewellery brighter again. Jewellery cleaning products are also available to purchase in store such as cleaning cloths and liquid cleaning solutions for use at home.
Annual cleaning is recommended to identify early signs of wear and tear which can prevent gem loss and splits occurring in the future. We also offer one free clean and polish per year for all engagement and wedding rings made by Andrew to ensure your rings are beautiful and bright on your special day.
restoration, remodelling & remakes
Whether your jewellery is worn daily or just for special occasions, over time it will suffer from wear and tear which requires the craftsmanship of a skilled jeweller to repair.
We can help restore your jewellery to its former glory or give it a new life by remodelling or remaking your jewellery. For example, we can remodel a bangle or ring into a brooch, pendant or earrings. We can source replacements for missing or lost gemstones or add a new gemstone to your jewellery. We work with you throughout the whole process, combining ideas and thoughts until your ideal piece is made. Visit us in store to discuss how we can make your ideas a reality.
custom design
Andrew specialises in custom made jewellery such as engagement rings and wedding rings, however we can custom make many items such as bracelets, pendants and earrings. We have rings on display that can be tried on and used to help you decide on your ideal ring design or you can provide an image or drawing.
We start by either using your own design to draw inspiration or offering suggestions based on suitability and personal style. We then offer a quote on the jewellery and confirm all the details. Once the quote is accepted, we will ask for a deposit and then start a computer-aided design (CAD) to allow you to visualize the jewellery before it gets made. Once you are happy with the CAD, the jewellery will then be made and we notify you when everything is finalised.

watch repairs
Watch batteries are available in store to get your watch up and running again. We also offer standard watch repairs such as new winders, movements, capacitors, and repairing broken glasses. Visit us in store for a free quote before proceeding with the repair.
